Job Summary:
Our non-medical in-home care organization is rapidly growing, and we have an immediate need for dedicated and experienced caregivers. We work with clients of all backgrounds and ages, especially seniors 65+ who require daily care in their homes including companionship, assistance with daily activities, light housekeeping and more. This role focuses on supporting a client’s well-being, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment, and providing emotional support and social interaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engaging clients by conversing in meaningful conversations with them.
- Planning and attending to clients as they participate in appropriate social activities and hobbies.
- Assisting with daily activities including basic housekeeping, such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, organizing, and laundry.
- Taking a genuine interest in clients by listening to their needs, ensuring that their environment is clean and safe.
- Assisting with personal hygiene including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Reminding clients to take medication and monitor adherence.
- Supporting clients with proper meal planning and preparation following dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Monitoring clients well-being, recording and reporting any developments or concerns to appropriate parties, such as company supervisors, doctors, or family members.
- Ongoing emotional support for clients as they heal or cope with their conditions.
- Handling grocery shopping, running errands, organizing a client’s schedule/appointments and other tasks.
- Maintaining open communication with the client, family, and healthcare professionals.
- Observing the client’s ongoing activities and reporting any changes in condition or behavior to manager.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
The ideal caregiver should be:
- Credentialed in NC with an unencumbered North Carolina CNA Certificate and/or at least 1 year of experience in Health Care, Home Care, Nursing Home, Assisted Living, or Senior Living industry or Lived Experience caring for a loved one.
- Clean criminal background check.
- Proof of TB Test taken within the last 6 months showing clear results.
- Health screening prior to providing care to clients.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and families.
- Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
- The ability to provide compassionate and caring service.
